Join us in this intimate UCLA venue for an extraordinary fundraising concert by iconic artist Lee Konitz where we will be celebrating and honoring him by initiating a jazz saxophone scholarship in his name – The Lee Konitz Living Legends Jazz Scholarship -- the first in a new initiative sponsored by the Friends of Jazz at UCLA. Konitz is joined by the multinational and long-established Minsarah (Prism) Trio – San Diego based bassist Jeff Denson, German pianist Florian Weber, and Israeli drummer Ziv Ravitz. Like a spectral prism, the trio explores new sound colors and new ideas in ensemble playing.
