Metro Art Presents Josh Nelson and The Discovery Project, Friday, March 9, from 8 to 9:30 p.m. in the Historic Ticketing Hall at Union Station.

This multimedia artistic collaboration and presentation between jazz composer and pianist Nelson, live improvisational video mixer Travis Flournoy, architect Jesse Ottinger and artist Claudia Carballada, is an immersive experience utilizing original music compositions and a variety of concrete and abstract moving images to create an extraordinary multi-sensory experience.

Born and raised in Southern California, Nelson has performed with some of the most respected names in jazz. His previous works include "Discoveries" and "Exploring Mars," which combined evocative musical themes with spectacular NASA/JPL video footage of the Red Planet. His most recent project, "The Sky Remains," was released in 2017 and is his love letter to his Los Angeles....
