Jazz legend Kenny Barron performs a FREE COMMUNITY CONCERT in a magnificently restored Spanish Colonial revival landmark building designed by celebrated architect Paul Williams. A consummate artist with no less than 9 Grammy nominations, over 40 recordings, and millions of avid fans worldwide, Kenny Barron has been acclaimed as “one of the top jazz pianists in the world” (Los Angeles Times). Don't miss the opportunity to hear him live — "Barron is a great jazz pianist, period" (Boston Herald).

Built in 1926, the 28th Street YMCA building is a Los Angeles Historic Cultural Monument (2006) and listed on the National Register of Historic Places (2009). Recently (2011) the building went through an extensive renovation and repurposing makeover under the guidance of the Coalition for Responsible Community Development, reopening in December 2012....
