Carl Ludwig Hübsch
Composer and improviser based in Cologne. Hübsch composes for small and large ensembles in the fields of improvised and new music. He performs internationally as a tubist and interpreter of experimental music and jazz-related forms. His output includes music for theatre, radio and interdisciplinary formats.
He has toured across Europe, North America, Africa and Asia, and received fellowships in Switzerland, Austria, Canada and the USA.
Founder of the Plattform Nicht Dokumentierbarer Ereignisse, he also teaches free improvisation and publishes regularly on the topic. Recent projects include: Hübsch Schubert Hemingway, Hübsch Martel Zoubek, Hübsch|Minton, Werckmeister, ensemble]h[iatus, Ensemble X / COUNTER-POLE, Multiple Joy[ce] Orchestra.

Matthias Schubert
Internationally acclaimed saxophonist known for his powerful, detail-rich improvisation and structural inventiveness. He has performed with artists such as Albert Mangelsdorff and Gunter Hampel and regularly played with his own bands or in duo with players like Frank Gratkowski or Simon Nabatov.
Schubert is a recipient of both the SWR Jazz Prize and the Hessian Jazz Prize, and has released over 40 recordings across genres.

Gerry Hemingway
Legendary drummer and composer with a deep history in improvised and contemporary music. Known for his work in the Anthony Braxton Quartet, BassDrumBone, WHO Trio, and collaborations with John Butcher, Marilyn Crispell, and others.
A Guggenheim Fellow, Hemingway has written for chamber ensembles and orchestra, and taught extensively — including positions at the Hochschule Luzern, where he now lives. His music balances form and freedom, abstraction and groove with unmistakable personality.
