The Nabatov-Kintopf-Parzhuber trio was formed in early 2024 and served as the rhythm section for various ensembles that rehearsed and recorded Simon Nabatov's music in the Deutschlandfunk chamber music hall in April 2024. The recorded music was released in April 2025 on the Polish label FSR (Fundacja Sluchaj Records) as the CD Agree to disagree.

All three found the compilation very successful, and after the trio presented a jazz standards program at Cologne's King Georg club in September and became part of Simon's project “Was mein Großvater mir erzählen könnte” (What my grandfather could tell me) in October (presented in three concerts and also recorded at LOFT), the next step was clear—to present and document the trio as an independent unit with material written especially for it....

No sooner said than done. The trio presented and recorded new material at LOFT in March 2025. The resulting recording will be released on CD in 2026 as Transient Unity.
The trio would like to invite Slovenian saxophonist Igor Lumpert to join them for this concert.
Simon Nabatov met him in New York in April 2025, where the two played together several times and decided that this musical encounter definitely deserved a sequel.
Nabatov was enthusiastic about Igor's playing and his compositions, which combine an earthy foundation with sophisticated forms and rhythms. The folkloric aspects of his style are never “in-your-face,” but mostly subtly embedded in the material, more to be sensed and felt, which Nabatov found very valuable and compelling. The fact that Lumpert repeatedly enjoys expressing himself in the chamber music genre also connects him to Nabatov's work in recent years.
