Owner Terence Love guarantees jazz past the L.A. County line with Steamers in Fullerton. “I started out Steamers to making the best jazz club and built it from the ground up,” says Love. And many L.A. regulars like Ron Eschete, Don Menza, Ernie Watts, and Barbara Morrison grace the stage, one that is lit up seven nights a week. Steamers also features a full service restaurant serving light breakfast fare, Panini sandwiches and international entrees. When asked of its success, Love humbly replies, ”Because you are loyal to the patrons and I'm there six days a week. I don't sit in an office while my workers are working.” Pianist John Paris plays solo for the lunch crowd daily. Whether a lunch with Paris, or taking in a headliner in the evening, all ages are welcome. With no cover charge most of the week, and usually only a $5 on weekends, calling for reservations is recommended. Future additions will be a patio with music and video feeds.
