Bassist, composer, and bandleader Emiliano Lasansky is a dynamic force in the Los Angeles jazz scene, known for his virtuosic playing and forward thinking musical vision. Originally from Iowa City and a graduate of the prestigious Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz Performance at UCLA, Lasansky has earned acclaim for pushing his music in bold new directions. A 2023 recipient of the ASCAP Herb Alpert Jazz Composer Award, he continues to distinguish himself as both an innovative writer and a compelling performer.
