I second this opinion and couldn't have said it better. I might add that the greedy pig store owner, one Sanders Chase, is demonstrably abusive to his one employee who he routinely belittles in front of customers, not that the store really has walk-in customers anymore. Mail order customers beware. This vulture prides himself on being a walking nightmare. Any record dealer this arrogant, hostile, and contemptuous of his customers has to fail sooner or later.

I second this opinion and couldn't have said it better. The one employee, who the owner is totally dependent on, is the one responsible for all the library and knows where everything is. The lazy owner does nothing but yell at the employee (poor Henry) and then insult prospective customers when they poke their heads into the shop. This idiot proprietor is his own worse enemy and hopefully will dissappear sometimes soon. Not likely though since apparently there is a new sucker born every minute, although better dealers and the internet should go a long way towards slowing this tainted business and levelling the playing field.
Do yourself and your pocket book a favor and don't go near this place. Why support a total jerk. There are much better alternatives. Always check the internet ( eBay or Gemm) for better quality LPs at possibly one tenth the price or less. In my experience this record dealer is the epitome of the unscrupulous businessman pulling ridiculous prices out of his butt and not standing by his product. Just try to return an LP which is defective, which he has sent to you as “Mint”. Right. You get the picture. Everyone associated with records in the Los Angeles area knows about this insulting character and hears about him all the time from numerous customer victims who have seen the light.
Thank you Record Surplus on Pico and other fair dealers for treating customers right and helping to wipe out this notorious character, the biggest joke on Melrose Avenue.
