Ken Okada is a San Jose-based bassist and composer whose sound blends Japanese and American jazz fusion with video game music and contemporary big band writing. Teaming with 16-year-old drumming sensation YOYOKA, whose collaborations include Cyndi Lauper and Fall Out Boy, they'll perform new music from their upcoming third album at SJZ Break Room.

Ken Okada Group ft. YOYOKA has performed at major venues including The Baked Potato, SFJAZZ, Kuumbwa Jazz Center, Jamboree Jazz Club in Barcelona and the International Bansko Jazz Festival in Bulgaria. Their albums Square One and Young and Brave showcase the band's energetic interplay and YOYOKA's powerful yet nuanced drumming, bridging fusion traditions with vibrant modern sensibilities and solidifying their reputation as one of the genre's most exciting acts today.
